The 2013 ACC/AHA Guideline on the Treatment of Blood Cholesterol to Reduce Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Risk in Adults was first published in Circulation, June 24, 2014and represents the most current guideline. The recommendations are intended to provide strong-evidence based foundation for the treatment of cholesterol for the primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease in women and men. These guidelines are not intended to be a comprehensive approach to lipid management for purposes other than atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease risk reduction. This Guideline was readopted by Paramount’s Medical Advisory Council in May 2018. Below you will find links to the guideline and supporting tools.
