Affordable Health Benefits for Small Businesses
Paramount partners with the Northwest Ohio Business Alliance (NWOBA) to offer a Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangement (MEWA) health insurance option tailored for small businesses with 50 or fewer employees – the NWOBA MEWA.
Medical Benefits
Our medical plans offer flexible, cost-effective options designed for small businesses. Choose from Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans that provide strong cost control and a trusted network of screened providers, with out-of-area coverage for dependents. Or opt for a Point of Service (POS) plan, which combines HMO affordability with added flexibility allowing employees to choose in-network care or go out of network when needed.
Wellness Offerings
Paramount’s wellness services support long-term engagement, promote healthy habits and help control costs. Through the Sharecare Wellness Portal, employees access personalized programs and actionable insights, while biometric screenings offer early detection of health risks and ongoing education keeps them informed.
Prescription Drug Benefits
Our prescription drug benefits, powered by CVS Caremark® and administered by RxBenefits, provide reliable, cost-effective coverage for your employees. This program helps manage costs for both employers and members while ensuring access to necessary medications. Employees benefit from a wide network of convenient pharmacy locations nationwide, along with easy mail-order options for ongoing prescriptions.
Join the NWOBA MEWA
Qualified employer groups with 1-50 employees, including sole proprietors, that are part of a participating chamber are eligible to join the NWOBA MEWA. The employer group must be in good standing with one of the participating organizations located within the Paramount Ohio Commercial service area to be eligible to apply.
